Title: I/P and injectors?
Post by: Hammy on February 27, 2005, 07:09:08 pm
What would I expect to pay for a rebuilt pump, and injectors for a 1.6TD?   :?:

I was at Henniger Diesel in Sudbury last week and got a quote of 500 minimum to rebuild an NA pump.  350 for labour, 150 for a seal/bushing/gasket kit.  The kit doesn't include any major parts such as the cam plate.  The mech even gave me an input shaft seal for free. :)

Typical "flat rate" to disassemble and reassemble and calibrate a pump is $400cdn. No hard parts (camplate, rollers, plunger, transfer pump etc.) are replaced during a "rebuild" unless they show wear, in which case you will be charged extra for those parts. A normal rebuild consists of replacing the seals and gaskets and recalibrating the pump. Genuine bosch injector nozzles go for about $30-40cdn each. Not sure what installation would cost.

Bosch VE seal kit is ~$16  (no bushings), I got off ebay, from Fuel injection specialties, or name something similar, I bought several sets  But I haven't installed yet, as only have had one leaker (cold start - ez fix)

last nozzles I bought were ~$8. USD (Bosch, nozzle only)  rebuilt injectors are $28 USD exchange

I usually get parts here  Halsey import  Portland OR
