I am going to be getting my engine together in the next month or so. After doing a bit of reading I learned about the weakness of the intermediate shaft bearings. They will be replaced during the build. I also saw that along this line, people have run into oil pressure problems, and a host of other small issues directly related to a faulty or weak vacume pump. I figure that now would be the time to rebuild it if possible, or replace it to avoid problems down the road. I am unsure of the year the engine was produced as it was bought as a removed unit. I think I read that there was a difference somewhere around 1985?
This is a Canadian MF 1.6TD.
Suggestions??
