I have a eco and I need the top of a regular td pump does anyone have one for sale. I am in california
-
ebay should have a few... you might be better off looking for a whole pump. get one that is leaking for cheap.
-
ECO pump + TD top = bad
The eco has an 8mm plunger compared to the 9mm in the NA and TD pumps. You'd get better results with a true TD pump or an NA+TD top pump.
-
What do you mean by plunger? Is that the same thing as the camplate?

No they are different things.

If you´re not going to extremes with the tuning you`ll be happy with the eco-ip too.
My Passat ECO -92 did 80-120kph in 8.27sec in fourth with this simple recipe:
1. emptied cat converter
2. MBC set to 1.0 Bars, stock Garrett T2
3. Max fuel screw turned in 1 1/8 turn
4. idle stop screw completely removed
Didn´t even have an Intercooler..
Cost of it all, maybe 35 USD
That´s as fast as an eco-td Passat will go without adding or changing parts.

(mine is an alt comp not a "eco")

I dont understand how it could be a bad conversion. does it not fit. Will it harm something or ot work properly?

You don't need to add the turbo top.
You can use your eco LDA, just add a nipple on the top of the UFO.
You will prob need to clean the LDA up, in mine the little pin that rides on the
fuel delivery pin (the one that attaches to the diaphram), anyway it was seized in the bore. Next step was to turn the pin so it was on the most aggresive slope and I turned the star wheel down pretty much all the way.
Adjust the max fuel screw and back off the idle adjustment screw and drive the piss out of it :)

Your name sugguests that you have a vw diesel in a suzuki like I do.
I am not sure what anLDA and UFO are.

An eco-IP is empty underneath the top plate on the "UFO", at least the eco´s we have in Sweden.

Yeah unless he's talking about the altitude compensation thing that looks like an LDA but does the opposite.

ding ding ding... That's it.. :D
Mine is a LDA from the alt compensator and this is what I'm referring to.
The ECO pumps dont even have an LDA correct?
Adding a LDA (boost or alt comp type) to a eco pump will in fact turn in into a TD pump, they may have the smaller plunger however as mentioned earlier but that's a easy fix..

from what i've seen in the lower foureight we have two kinds of eco diesels....one with a turbo (k14) and no boost aneroid; and one with a boost aneroid (alt compensator) but no turbo.....I have the turbo version....but a friend of mine has the non turbo version.....
