Title: Prime Oil pump & lines

Gooday,
hello,
does anyone of anyinfo on prime the oil pump and line right after they have done a engine rebuild(total), i want to know wether anyone as done this or what to do before you start the engine for the first time.

We mentioned taking out the vaccum pump and somehow connecting a drill to a 1/2 extension and turing the pump until you have resistance. Do a search and you should find it...

I like the $5 TT solution !!  I built one of those, but probably have more than $5 in the material (used SS shafting), much less the time in lathe and EDM machine to burn in the tang drive... (my time could have been better spent)
 
You can also loosen the timing belt and turn the intermediate shaft with an air impact till you get her well oiled

DO NOT forget to tighten the T- belt and crank over a few revs by hand

hey thanks for the replies very appreciated,
i do have one question, if i hook up a impact gun to the inter shafter pulley do i turn it CW or CCW? i think that will be easier then removing the vacumm pump again and its painted so i don't really want to do that unless i have too.
