Title: Hello from a new Golf owner

Just wanted to say whatsup to everyone here. I just got an '85 Golf 1.5 NA and a wrecked '91 passat with a 1.6TD in it and will be doing the swap over the next little while. Been lurking for a bit and have found lots of great info already but im sure I'll have a million questions once I start getting my hands dirty.

the '85 golf should have a 1.6 unless it was swapped with an older 1.5.

good luck with the swap! it shouldn't be hard at all.

Your right...and a '91 passat shouldnt have a 1.6TD in it either. Niether car is new to this swap game  :lol:
