I'm trying to source a new wastegate for my newly acquired T3. I've come across this place ( http://www.westcoast-turbo.com/wastegates.html )
although now i'm unsure as to which one, if any, will work. the spring ratings both seem a bit low to me, but i'm pretty much a noob when it comes to turbo rebuilding. :D

Make a boost controller for under $10 and it won't matter what the spring rate is.

It looks to me like you'd need to do a whack of plumbing to get either of these two external gates to work.
A couple of other options might be:
1) try to find a T3 wastegate.... these guys appear to carry them:
http://www.gpopshop.com/turboparts.html
2) drive without a wastegate... actually very safe if you haven't dialed up the fuel, and especially if you have a boost gauge.

so with a boost controller and wastegate, we'd be looking at something like this i'm assuming

without the wastegate would the controller just vent to atmosphere?

heres another I've found, but I am leaning towards no wastegate. Would I simply plug the hole where the wastegate was or adapt a boost controller into it somehow?

Rally Diesel,
Would you mind describing the $10.00 boost controller or provide a link to a build post.

this is the one i was going to make

seems simple enough

Thanks gnav, just what I was looking for.
Now if I could find a way to source the Lime Green advance spring for the pump I would be even happier.
