Flashlight and a mirror to read the numbers off the side of the turbo are the best way.

Given that this is an early Canadian A2 odds are pretty good you have a Garrett T3... IMHO !

on the top of the turbo 431 409 24 on the side it says "airesearch" and how do you read in the damn mirror backwards when the type is so tiny? Anyway there is a green plate with VW and Audi symbols on the back of the turbo and I did manage to see T3 on that. I did not read the word Garrett. What do you guys think?
