Any opinions?  

From what I can see in my records the orgional exhaust lasted 214K km (5 years).  

The Canadian Tire exhaust replacement has been howling for over 5000 km now so it lasted about 170K km (8 years).  The CT bill was only 130CDN installed so I don't think they replaced everything.

I had a guy make a quote for a Walker exhaust but he screwed it up because it has about 20 parts and costs more than 300CDN.

Bosal costs more than OEM, Ernst a bit less.  I want to go with Ernst at this point so I'd like to hear the most about them.

Only experience i've had is with OEM, crappy tire, and some garbage system that Thruway put on my fox once.  OEM fits like a glove.  Aftermarket stuff generally doesn't.  After years of putting up with rattling exhaust, damaged shift linkage, and wear marks down to the bare metal on the underside of my cars, I finally gave up on aftermarket exhaust systems and now only put OEM on my car.

techtonics makes awesome systems. perfect fit, alumized or stainless for long life, different diameters available. never had anything but good from their systems.

I ended up buying  an Ernst downpipe and muffler as well as a Basal centre pipe for 44.70 + 31 + 122 + tax.  You can buy a lifetime warranty on the Ernst muffler for an extra dollar.   :roll:

My old exhaust will be up for grabs next week if anybody is passing through Sudbury.  All it really needs is a straight 5 foot section cut out and replaced but I'm a lazy ass. :)  I'd rather assemble the exhaust inside and then drag it out to the car to be attached.  The old muffler may be hollow...I won't know until I have a better look at it.

The Ernst muffler turned up today and it was only 90 bucks. :)  Complete new exhaust for 200 bucks.  Can't beat that.  The Bosal centre pipe turned out to be Made in Canada and it looks kinda cheap.  The Ernst parts are labeled Aluminized and are very heavy but the Bosal thing looks like it is a relabled vacuum cleaner part.

Old Canadian Tire exhaust, lots of radical bends in downpipe, note extra pipe clamp between downpipe and muffler, exhaust had atleast 1 more year left in it but it's too late now...

attempt to capture cheap downpipe design, there is actually 1/2 cm of exhaust pipe sticking out past the welding

Ernst muffler has 2nd intermediate pipe as part of muffler so it costs less than North American aftermarket.
