Title: Plugged a/c condensate drain - '92 Jetta
Post by: larry104 on August 19, 2007, 05:55:50 am
Where is the a/c condensate drain on a '92 Jetta and how do you clean it out? I didn't see any water dripping under the car when the a/c was on and the driver's side carpet was wet.

I think it is right at the bottom of the HVAC box in the car. It travels out the firewall just behind the engine. Mine was dealer installed AC, not factory so it might be a bit differant

Yes, the drain exits on the firewall. I disconnected it from the heater box inside the car and ran a stiff piece of wire up there, then reassembled it. It drains now. Thank you.
