Saw this truck at Speedweek on Tuesday. Twin turbo-supercharged Detroit diesels. It did a big "burnout" and went almost completely sideways when he shifted at about a half mile out. Black smoke all the way until it disappeared over the horizon. Not sure how fast it went. There was also a streamliner with a straight-6 Cummins (ala Dodge pickup) with a huge turbo -- 100 psi boost  The record for the class is over 300 mph.
