Title: Turbo query!

Just been out to my mates place (another VW nut) and he's just been given a VW T3 Van with an SB engine code diesel engine 9same one as in my GTD but minus the intercooler. its totally std.  The whole rear of the van is full of spares inc a handful of turbos. There are 5 Garrett T3 turbos - all of which are in ok condition. Just wondered if the T3 van came with the T3 turbo on it or has it been upgraded? Will this turbo fit on my GTD?

T3's came on some 1.6td cars. my mate has a a.6td b2 passat with a t3 on it, the engine was originally from a vw santana.

t3's never came on vanagons, that would be the k14.
the t3 was used on the 1.6 td's as much as the k24 was.. not sure what years etc.. I've seen them in even numbers with the k24's on just about any 1.6 td that wasn't an ecodiesel.
