Title: Same fuel pump?

I was going to attempt the governor mod on my 1.6 Golf GTD. However I thought I'd practice on an old one first.
There is a MK2 1985 1.6 N/A Diesel Jetta in a yard near my house. Would the fuel pump be the same as the one on my GTD? I realise this is probably a stupid question but I'm still learning!

As far as I know the governer will be the same however accessing them will be a bit different
