It might happen... There was talk last year about  Dodge bringing the VW Polo into the states and rebadging it as the Colt. (http://tinyurl.com/26dhez)

It must  been able to meet US spec or close to it.

The Polo TDI would be nice, but I am not sure how I feel about the "clean Diesel" doesn't that mean that they have a "filter" in the exhuast?? If so I bet they are expensive to replace..

I'll take an A1 or A2 Diesel any day :-)

supposedly the filter lasts the entire 'life' of the car.  it regenerates itself by being super heated to burn all the carbon by means of injecting fuel into the exhaust stream.  kinda neat, but i can foresee many problems with that regeneration system.

there has been talk of this for years, different details all the time. that colt thing is new haven't heard that one before. so ridiculous. i stopped holding my breath on the north am. polo, will believe it when i see it. until then, mkI TDs for all!

Naaa, it will just jack the boost up to 30psi and the pump wide open.  3-4 min at 1500egt should do it. :lol:
