Title: 1.6TD and rotating the boost pin

If this is all I do to "tune" an otherwise stock 1992 1.6TD.......rotate the boost pin to it's most aggressive orientation......am I at risk for dangerous / high egt's on a DD driven sanely?
 
 There is no egt gauge installed, and not really wanting to install one at this time.

i don't think you'll be in danger, but an egt is pretty cheap and easy to install, a very worthwhile investment.
