any one have one they wanna get rid of in good shape?
-
yes I do but for what year car?
-
sorry, id like one off a mk2 turbo diesel, the early one with the mph and tach, but the kph one would be ok if it still read mph on it or i could probably switch one out, i just need a diesel tach for the mk2 really. thanks.
-
CE1 or CE2? or what year is your car?
-
i don't know the difference, if you could enlighten me. i drive a 91 jetta
-
You have CE2 and I have the cluster you need
89 was the change over year IIRC
-
am i right to assume CE1 was from 85 to 88, and CE2 was from 89 to 92?
-
almost. CE1 and CE2 were both used in 89. You can tell what style you have by how many harness connections it has. 2 and it's CE1, 1 and it's CE2.
-
thanks for learning me. you said you had one that would work in my car with the tack. is it in good shape and what would you be willing to sell for? trade? thanks!
-
I have one that works perfectly. $80 shipped. 321k kms on it.
I'll trade for a K14
-
whoa baby thats expensive, sorry dude, looks like i am back to the junkyard, they will practically give me those. thanks anyway for the help.
-
good luck on the search
Keep me in mind if you cross a K14 please
-
will do
-
$80 is nothing for a CE2 tach. I paid $100 for mine. CE1's are common. CE2's are rare. IMO go for this.
-
YEP TYLER ALWAYS HAS GOOD PRICES! I PAID MORE THAN A 100 BUCKS FOR MINE AND SHIPPING TO THE STATES FROM CANADA! TYLER IS MY BEST FRIEND NOW! I'LL GET ALL MY STUFF FROM HIM!
THANKS DUANE

Thanks Duane
-
Yup Tyler's got two thumbs up from me!! Fair dealer!!
-
BTW Tyler... never asked you where your handle comes from... is it what you do when all of us send you money... again and again and again ??!!!!
-
No it actually means to not let money be the deciding factor in the choices you make in life.
Somestimes I also think of it simply as "go driving" and leave some nice black patches
-
i definitely appreciate the help and the offer, i just don't think a 15+ year old instrument cluster with plenty of mileage is worth 80 bucks. it is hard for me to send that much money not knowing the person i am buying from and the condition of the product. my sincerest thanks though, again, for the help and the offer guys. this is a good forum with good people.
-
I bought a Tach Cluster from Tyler and it works great! :D
-
Me too. I bought the other one from Tyler a few weeks ago :D . I've been looking for a LONG time for a cluster with a tach that was in good shape. This one was in great shape. Beware, most of the ones out there for sale (at least the ones I found) were attempts at switching out guages gone bad...and you'll end up with a punked cluster. They stopped making these 15 years ago.

then who are you gonna trust? TDIclub? i would think not! you can see who on here is trust worthy very easy! just do a little reading! Tyler (burn your money) is a moderator if you have not noticed! if you want to know about anybody or anything he's the one to ask! and just remember that the cluster maybe 15years old but they are not made anymore and there are few of them especially here in the states!you otta see how much that cluster really costs?

Thanks for the kind words everyone. I'm glad that everyone has been happy with what they've bought from me.
I can certainly understand anyones hesitation of buying site unseen over the internet. I've been hosed a couple times and it truly sucks.

Diesel clusters with tachs are getting very hard to find in the US, especially for the CE2 cars, which were few and far between and in the ecodiesel series didn't come with a standard tach.
They've gotten very spendy lately as everyone scrambles to get a tachometer.

Dearest blkboostedtruck,
No wonder you don't get along with the people at TDI-club. First of all you probably have too much money to spend and would buy anything at any price. I am poor, however. I turned down the offer in the most respectful way possible with no hard feelings towards Tyler what so ever, so back off. I am sure he is a great guy but I am entitled to my opinion as well. I am new to the online forum thing and people like you really make the newbies feel welcome. Thanks so much.

Let's keep in mind that this is a open forum incorporating ideas and opinions from around the world. The intent of it is to provide a fun and informative place to discuss diesel engines. Let's try and keep it friendly. I'm sure no harm or insult was intended by anyone's comments in this thread.

Im with that man, He really is.... Let this be known, this guy is really fair seller....
Respect given where respects due!

That was crazy it was just two people bidding against each other to keep the other from getting it. They were the only two bidders after $67. You get crazy bidding on ebay sometimes.
