Hi all, thank you for letting me join you're forum. I picked up a 84 Rabbit with a 1.6 swap and my plan is to turn it into a cruiser and a show car. I go to a huge Volkswagen meet in NY in May and they have a smoke competition. I was wondering the easiest way to make my little rabbit into a "coal roller" I understand that black smoke means unburnt fuel and decreased MPG. But i really would like to win the competition this year and help would be appreciate it!
Thanks in advance.

I’m new too. but in the big boy diesel world you just crank that fuel screw down and whined down that smoke screw on a 6 cylinder bosh ve pump.

I can't imagine wanting to enter or much less win a stupidity contest. That type of stupidity gives diesels and diesel owner's a bad reputation, wastes fuel, potentially damages your engine (overly high EGT's), damages the environment for no good purpose, and threatens the health and well-being of those in the vicinity. That makes smoking cigarettes look smart.

All true, but it is nice to have a riposte to those idiot tailgaters. Enjoy those PM10's!
