I had this turbo built for a 1.6L/1.9L hybrid a few years ago. I managed to put about 200km's on the engine but due to engine build quality issues (people just don't know ***! --I read that on a post here a few mins ago... So true!) the project was shelved. So the turbo has sat in a bag in a box on a shelf in my garage ever since. The 1.6/1.9L did easily spin it to it's boost-controlled 35psi setting. I paid over $1000 for it through Giles' turbo shop partner.
It bolts to a regular TD exhaust manifold.
I'd like to see $850 for it.
Pics soon if anyone interested.
clarification: this turbo has 200 kilometers on it.

Garrett is a T3
KKK is a K24 or K26.
It is NOT a Garrett

ill give you 150 and throw in a little girl. what do you say? we have deal?

Just trying to get the whoretex fell for a sec there ;)
It is really expensive to have them rebuilt properly for sure.
To be honest you would probably be better off on E Bay just because of the masses of people you can reach there.

BUY THIS TURBO BEFORE YOU SHOW YOUR CHEAPNESS AND TRY TO DO THIS YOURSELF AND JUST END UP TRASHING AN ENGINE.
This is the same thing Im building. I have a the rebuild kit from Jake (I miss that guy) and I had my shaft/impeller/turbine balanced.
If anyone wants to attempt to build a turbo you can have your shaft balanced here:

Really nice guys and at only $65 bucks its just WRONG to build a turbo without doing it.

Sorry I forgot this was a for sale thread... I edited a little.

i'm tempted to buy this for my m-TDI... what is the spooling like on this thing??? i kinda want some nice low end grunt, but this thing would rock!!!
-
without question, this badboy is built for the higher boost levels.
On a 1.6L IDI, it was at 35 psi (controller limited. Didn't drive the engine long enough to see what ultimate boost it could reach) by 3800 rpm.
For sure, a hopped-up 1.9L or a TDI would spool it up even faster.

Bump for the Doc, these are awesome power upgrades imagine having the quick boost of you stock K24 Turbo and the Flow and Boost of a Porsche Turbo.....
I just finished building mine and this is such a deal if only I had seen this before I finished building mine up.......
The Doc doesn't fool around this Turbo is top notch.....

Am I reading the ad correct 200k on the turbo as it was from your built engine etc?? any pictures?... the turbine is the stock k24 with a k26 compressor?
I am about to use a k24 on my tdi I have a extra k26 and was thinking of doing what you have done. so I am interested.. can you post up some pictures? mounted on the engine an dby it self etc. with the k24 the intake has to be ground down to clear the compressor..i imagine the k26 compressor needs alot of grinding to clear the intake? any info
Thanks
Deo

Heya Deo!
Yeah, 200 km on the turbo. I made 1/4" spacers to move the exhaust manifold off the head a bit. With these spacers, only moderate clearancing was required between compressor and intake manifold.
I gave the turbo shop this K24 and a K26. They overhauled it and installed the K26 cold side. No clearance issues between turbo and firewall at all.
I'll post pictures soon!
