Title: gas into diesel exhaust compatabilities...?
Post by: 79rabbit4dr on January 29, 2009, 01:41:09 am
I'm parting out a 79 gas rabbit but i've got an 81 that i'm keeping and (very) slowly restoring/making my DD. I've heard that the gas exhaust is a direct fit and if this is true, i'd like to swap it over. If not, i'll sell it - someone's been asking me about it but I haven't gotten the chance to do the HG on the diesel yet, stupid cold weather!

so the question is: will my gasser manifold bolt right up to my diesel, AND, is that an improvement in performance, or just deleting those stupid C clamps?

Yes its a improvement.
keep it for your car unless you think you may turbo it then just find a TD manifold.
