So, I've been all hot and heavy to build up a fat 1.6/1.9headTD , Bought two motors for the build, have my 1.9 head. Last night my neighbor walks over and offors to sell me his 1994 TDI Passatt wagon. 5-spd, nice body, real clean. Engine has about 115,000 miles on it. 2 sets of tires and rims, and he wants about $6,000 for it. I was planning on looking for a later model Passatt wagon next year. I wanted to finish up my 1.6td project and go on to build a fast 1.9td to drop in one. I figured I could pick up a higher milage, or blown motor early 2000ish year model and drop the motor in. Gassers are cheap. Now I'm torn. Someone show me the light. :?
