Title: Building an injector pump for Nissan Patrol
Post by: Harty89 on June 07, 2010, 11:37:14 pm
Hey,
I own a Nissan Patrol/Safari with a 4.2L TD which I want to get more horsepower from. The thing that’s holding me back is the amount of diesel I can deliver with the current injector pump. There are a few doing 12mm plunger change-outs but it seems to be kept as a black-art here in Australia. The pump I have now is a VE6/11R. I will get the exact pump model the next time I can. So what parts are required to change to a 12mm setup and from what pump? Can it be as simple as replacing the head and rotor but maintaining the 11mm cam plate etc? Educate me please.

Regards
Dan

Petty much, use the springs etc to match the head as they cound be stiffer to counter act piston float, other than that if its mechanical read about on here theres a few other adjustment could be made when the pumps in pieces like advance and governor mods.
