Title: 020 Transaxle clutch chatter
Post by: Sansocal on December 12, 2014, 08:23:59 pm
I have an 82 Rabbit with a FF code transaxle. I recently put a new LUK clutch kit in the car, and replaced the rear main and transaxle front seal.

Within the past week it has started to pulse when engaging the clutch into 1st gear... It really feels like the clutch is slipping and catching when engaging. I don't have any other problems with it and I checked inside the inspection hole on top of the bell housing and didn't see any oil.. Is there any other way a little bit of oil could have gotten on the clutch?

Did you do anything with the flywheel?

I had replaced the clutch 3 months before putting in this new Luk clutch kit, the flywheel was machined 3 months ago..
