Title: Need some help with a 1.8 gas
Post by: 1slowvw on June 13, 2006, 08:14:43 pm
Hey guys I know this is not really diesel related but I'm hoping one of you can help me out. My brother owns a 1987 cabriolet with a 1.8 8v. The car runs well normaly but the other night I took it for a drive and may have run it out of gas because when I got back in the car stalled on the way up the driveway. So I put gas in tonight but I cant get the thing to fire up again. Any suggestions I'm sure some of you guys can help me out with this.I'v always owned diesels and this hole gas thing is foriegn to me.
Thanks in advance 1slowVW

running a gas car dry sucks too.  it sucks up all the crap from the bottom of the tank and might have plugged the fuel pump.  Keep cranking!  the high pressure line has 65 or so psi flow from the tank.
