Title: Libbys VNT control. A modification. Is it working?

In Libbys threads on VNT controls, vac.can is installed in linkage between throttle lever and VNT lever. A lot of people has copied this design.
Fatmobiles thread in another forum (https://farm2.staticflickr.com/1643/24602379299_122174ff94_b.jpg) shows vac.can fixed solid a side of above mentioned linkage.
Is there a difference in behaviour performancevise? I see an advantage in a fixed can. Its easier to change can return spring(s) and if I use pulling spring(s) I can easily change curve by moving fix point sideways.

If you have the can mounted to a fixed point with a solid linkage in the manner you have shown you will be unable to depress the accelerator as the boost can (with diaphragm already pushed that direction) will not allow the linkage to move.  There are other issues with building it the way you have it drawn.

With whatever design you use make sure the accelerator lever can return to idle regardless of whether the boost can is expanded or contracted.
