Title: B3 Passat Wagon IDI Broken Cold Start Cable

Hey guys, just today I broke the cold start cable on my B3 Passat Wagon. It has an IDI that was swapped in from a MK3 Golf by someone else. They fabricated the cable into the dash.

Research this morning thus concludes, this cable is no longer available, and incredibly rare to find.

Now my question is, have any of you installed a Webber carburetor cable to replace the factory one? Id think a Webber may withstand operations more effectively, I just have never installed or even bought one for an application before.  ???

Any help with this is greatly appreciated.   ;D

A choke cable should work fine.
