Title: Will a NON-TURBO rear muffler work for a 91 jetta eco TD??

My rear muffler is rusting through and I'll need a new muffler for my 91 jetta eco diesel, I can get a non turbo muffler for $42, the turbo version seems to be anywhere from $100-$200 depending on where you get it. Was wondering if any of you guys have used a non tubo muffler on a turbo, will it fit and perform right?? What adjustments will be needed for proper fitment if it will work?
