Title: Smaller cooler for 1.6td
Post by: Mikkeld20 on December 31, 2017, 05:39:48 pm
Hello everyone,

Does anyone know if any gasser radiator will fit "plug-n-play" in a diesel Golf mk2?
I know that in diesels have a angled output flange (lower), right?
If so which ones?

Living in Scandinavia, I have absolutely no cooling issues, quite the contrary actually... The temps rarely exceeds 15c.
So a smaller radiator will only be beneficial.

In the USA gas and diesel cars with A/C used the same radiator. The non -A/C  cars used a different radiator but were the same among gas and diesel. So switching to a gas radiator would'nt change anything, you would still have the same exact radiator.
