Title: For sale - Rear drums, shoes + brgs/seals for mk2
Post by: SpannerMonkey23 on February 25, 2018, 02:19:01 pm
Hello everyone. Purchased some rear drums, shoes, timken bearing's and seals for my mk2.
Little did I know there was two sizes and I bought the wrong ones. Well, I noticed after the bearings and stuff we're installed so it's a little late to return them.

I've got
Dura-Go drums 181mm,(appears to be 7inch inside diameter, 8 1/4 outside)
.Satisfied Metalazer Tech brake shoes 1.22 inch wide. Timken bearing's and seals.
Set1, Set8 and 1962 seal.

Looking to just try and recover some of my losses on parts I'll never use.
Everything is packed and carefully installed with a bearing driver. Just need a spring kit.

$30+ shipping(https://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/20180225/46fb1b7c54e854e2ad8d894e2711e5df.jpg)

Title: ALH Swap w/clutch cable in SE CT $1000
Post by: Turbofan on July 12, 2018, 07:15:00 am
A few years ago, I bought a 98 Beetle TDI for the express purpose of harvesting the engine/drivetrain to swap into my MK2. I also sourced a cable clutch setup from Germany, to speed up the process. Shortly there after, my first son was born, and free time went bye bye. I ended up selling the car in 2016, but held onto the swap.

The motor and transmission (02J) have about 163k on them, and I replaced the timing belt, tensioner, roller, and waterpump after pulling the motor. Also included is ecu, 2 engine wiring harnesses, a chassis harness, cluster (not needed- no immo in 98), shifter assembly, intercooler, radiator, and motor accessories. I've got several rubbermaid tubs of parts, and I'm sure there is even more in there. I'm located in Westport, CT, 06880. I'm happy to deliver this stuff within a reasonable distance in the chance you don't have a truck. I'd like to see this stuff get used! Let me know if you have questions.

P.S. I will only sell the cable clutch setup w/o the engine if the engine sells first,  and the buyer doesn't want it!

Thanks for looking! Title: ALH Swap w/clutch cable in SE CT $1000
Post by: Turbofan on July 12, 2018, 07:29:35 am

Title: AGR Engine with K24 Turbo (NO M-TDI)
Post by: DkmenchaR on March 10, 2019, 05:06:00 pm
I got a used KKK24 Turbo from a Audi90 1.6TD at junkyard, and I'm wondering if, this particular turbo will be a good upgrade to my VNT15!

I've got already a Remap with a VNT convertion, but can I swap this little turbo to the K24 easily and re-adjust my ECU? I don't want mechanical pump, and my power goals is around 160-170hp at the wheels (currently with 128whp and 317nm on dyno)

I know some TDI's come with Wastegsted turbos, and I know there are other turbo options for that power goal, but this seems to be a nice turbo, inspite of the age... Besides, I don't want to chance to another turbo (The less I spend, the better!)

Any recommendation is well welcome!(https://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/20190310/6589c1cd5a76252ecc850268394da225.jpg)(https://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/20190310/0eaf220a03d557bc53efc2128f681928.jpg)(https://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/20190310/3904c001e1a7722786fcfa75c3557736.jpg)

Title: 1998 jetta ahu with 5th injector???
Post by: anchoredinchrist on April 11, 2019, 03:19:10 pm
I have a 1998 jetta tdi in the shop right now, it's my brother in law's, and I was doing the wheel bearings and etc. I noticed that there was a check engine light, so I hooked up autel and checked and got code 00309 which is for the fifth injector metering device. I thought that there must be something wrong, and so I looked and sure enough, there is a fifth injector setup on this car! I thought maybe someone had maybe swapped in an engine from a 1996 Passat, but it doesn't appear that it has been changed. I didn't run the engine numbers, but I wanted to know if anyone else has run into this, and how to delete it in the ecu. It has already had an egr delete and tune. Is there a way to shut it off in vag-com? Thanks!(https://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/20190411/557341bee2f222c13cb2de8dbf3e26c6.jpg)(https://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/20190411/dfaff2e5b0aa87cdfde88dce72a893e7.jpg)

Thanks!

Anyone able to give me a rough number of what power a 1.9tdi AGR 90 can handle before it would need "major" engine work? I've got a bigger turbo, 12mm pump, nozzles, front mount, cam upgrade along with spring upgrade, thicker headgasket and arp head studs, it's all piled up ready to be fitted but want to know what sort of power this engine will hold before pistons and rods will need attention, if it isn't worth looking past the bottom end then I will just rebuild that too.

Anyone know what a VE 90bhp tdi will tune to before the block would need major upgrades?

2001 seat cordoba estate 1.9tdi, anyone know what power the 90bhp VE engine will take before rods and pistons become external parts? Haha(https://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/20190418/99f50beb5b59eee563f101f65580b80e.jpg)
