Title: leather steering wheel covers
Post by: Blue Haze on January 22, 2014, 06:47:13 pm
I would like to install a leather lace-on steering wheel cover such as a Superior.  No sure which one fits.  Anyone done this and can advise which one to order or if you have had better experience with some other brand.

I was going to say just pick up a good used momo prototipo or similar but I just checked ebay and they're like $250 and up, when did that happen? I may have to list mine on ebay, I found it at the junkyard in a 924/928 and bought it for $20-25 with the adaptor.

You can get an actual factory leather steering wheel from a VW Cabriolet or some cars with GTI/GLI option. I've come across a few nice ones in my time (and have put them on all the VWs I've owned) so they can't be too terribly rare.
