Title: 85 Land Rover Defender 90 - are these really such high dollar units ?
Post by: Baron VonZeppelin on March 08, 2012, 12:57:54 am
This caught me off guard. Never seen one.
Pretty cool vehicle.

Are these the kind of vehicles that folks are talking about when they mention "Rover" Injection Pumps -  for M-TDI swaps ?

And are these damm things really worth that kind of money ?

i doubt a 85 is a tdi... but it may be a later tdi shoe horned in.. in the uk.. they have no value due to rot... why the pumps go for 100--200$

It's a Defender.

They're the last *real* Land-Rover.

When there isn't another one on the market, it's worth whatever you want to charge if you have a buyer.  There area  lot of small 4x4s you could get for 11 grand that aren't as good-depending what you want it for.

If I had 11k to spend on a truck, I would be very tempted to pick that up. UBER COOL and a real offroading machine
