I always get hit by a blizzard between Barrie and Parry Sound so the ski hill looks to be in a good spot.

Surley you are not talking about MY ski hill  , 500" of light dry pow every year with a peak just under 10,000 feet with a season pass for $200 :D
-
I think mine is updated...let's see!!!
Mikey
[edit] <-------- Yup, there it is  [/edit]
-
No your ski hill sucks cuz I bet the pass for out of state people is ridiculously more than 200 bux!!
Thats one of the biggest scams in the states, that truly prevents more canadians from wanting to ski down south of us.
If its the same as in vermont, the passes for out of province people are 75% more than that!
:'(
-
Actually no, pass rates are the same for anyone, look here (http://www.grandtarghee.com/winter/mountain/seasonpass.html), I was refering to the restricted pass for $199, scroll down a bit, only $399 for unrestricted. Day ticket prices are way high IMO though, $52 per day IIRC :( .
So does my ski hill win? :D
-
No, not yet!
:D
Cuz i met a nice local girl who fell victim to my Canadian charm and accent and found us an allotment of vermont ski passes (day passes for jay peak at 12 bux each)!
-
Just a reminder

Testing, testing, 1, 2, 3.

Yep, it's there. 8)

Who do you have to kill?

May I request that we all post our province or state as well if it's not obvious? (I have never heard before this board of Sudbury or
Mourial, and had no idea they they are in eastern canada before I looked them up. Why not be more explicit...)

Hi guys/gals;
I've recently moved from Moonstone to Priceville, Ont. It's about 35 minutes from Owen Sound. We bought a 50 acre hobby farm, lots of privacy. My closest neighbor is about 2000 feet or so from my house. I just bought a tractor. It's a Ford 3000, 3cyl diesel.
I guess my name doesn't make much sense anymore, LOL!
-
OK...I don't want to brag too much but I don't think anyone can beat my local ski mountains???

Nice! If you're ever down in Kelowna sometime, send me an IM! We've got a lot of BCers on these forums, along with the vwdieselparts forum too.

Mine's there. Coming from the land where no-one bothers to repair and look after cars as old as the ones you guys drive!

BC - Alberta is the best place in the world.
from ocean to prairies i can't think of a more beautiful landscape.
just off the top of my head for ski resorts i can name
mt.washington, whistler, blackcomb, grouse, semore, cypress, hemlock, mt.baker, manning, big white, sun peaks, silver star, kicking horse, powder king, Lake Louise
that's just from vancouver to the border of alberta and BC. There are more towards the Yukon and even more in Alaska.
not to mention the rest in the Rockies. I named two.
-
Screw all ya!! :P
If you need to know where I'm at PM me.
I think there is enough personal inf floating around the net to take us down. I'm climbing in a hole!!

I have to agree with Dan on this one. When I do a Google search on myself all I come up with is an article about my son joining the Army and that's the way I like it. I can't believe how much information about themselves people post on sites like Facebook, MySpace, etc. Makes it too easy for the stalkers and identity thieves to find you.
-
I have a Facebook account and Google finds nothing on my name that is actually about me. And if i search my user name (Smokey Eddy) i get the thread i made on oil temp sender location and a reply i made about the tach/rev counter thread in the FAQ. Just an interesting experiment. Now if you search Vince Waldon :P ;)
Just promoting your good work Vince 8)

Bump... this is an international forum and engines/trim vary from region to region, as does availability of parts.
Please make sure your profile includes your location... thanks !
-
Was my wish granted? I swear yesterday people's locations weren't listed in their avatar, and now they are.
Andrew
It was indeed. The magical Admin waved his wand and poof, poster positions proliferated. :D

Hey guys;
I formerly went by the name of Moonstone, but I moved and it just didn't seem appropriate anymore, lol. So, I (obviously) go by Hammy now. Can anyone guess my last name? :P I moved to another small town, Priceville, Ontario. It is 45 mins SE of Owen Sound. Maybe 200 people here at the most. I bought a small hobby farm, 50 acres. It's great for the family here.

Do you have a hobby pig on the farm too? If not that would make it a lot more Hammy'r I'd have one myself if they would stay little, cute little beasts that they are ;D

Hamilton? Hamburger? Hamish? lol

I think that if you post a For Sale/WTB thread that putting your location in should be a prerequisite. You shouldn't be able to post one without. It can be tedious to open up threads looking to see if someone is near...
-
That's great :D
-
new guy is Anchorage Alaska. Going to be working on a 1.6 turbo diesel
-
Mesa, Arizona
Gonna be swapping a 1.9 into my '81 jetta
-
Grande Prairie, Ab.....About a month away from hauling an '85 Westy up from Michigan. Has a borked 1,6 td conversion with lots of extra bits. Probably will look for a 1.9 of some ilk and sell the 1.6 stuff.
Haven't seen it yet except for pics but am wildly optimistic.

I am from here, Mark! : lol ๆ: ;D ;D ;D ;D

wouldn't mind telling folks that I'm in Arizona, but in "Modify Profile" I don't find "Location"

Go into your profile and select modify profile then select Forum Profile. A bit down from the top:

I hope that the majority of users will fill in the location block while registering as a user. If youve already registered and didnt fill in location, you can update your profile at any time, and let us know where you call home.
