Title: what's the best oil for a 2000 TDI

i just got a 2000 TDI jetta, it has 120,000 miles on her, what's the best oil and filter for this car??

Not saying this is the best, but it is cheap for me, and I like it...

I use ELF LDX 5w40  Brian Harrison in NS here can sell it for a very resonable price if you buy it by the case.  If you want to really treat the car check out some of Elf's high end stuff, but be prepared to PAY.
