Title: will an early tdi pump swap with a late tdi pump??

Hello all  I just picked up a tdi motor from the local salvage yard it is the late style setup.  I was wanting to know if the early pump would swap with my late or if they are even diffrent.  The reason for this is I am wanting to put this in my super clean caddy.  I would like to find the earyl style harness and computer to put in my caddy.  They seam to be a lot less hassle to wire in should be like doing a gasser swap.  I have the tranny and all to make it a true tdi swap just need help getting it all sorted out.  Just dont want to have the hassle of the immobiler setup and the latemodels.  If anyone know where I can source the parts I am looking for it would also be a big help.
