I'm going to Italy this Saturday. I was wondering if there are any items that are good to look for that are worth the effort of seeking out while there. Of course it has to fit in the suitecase. Exchange rate sucks but was wondering if there are items still worth it. I'm putting an ALH into my 98 Wolfy Jetta. I really like the 4 headlight grill. Was wondering if they could fit and would be cheaper to bring back.

why not buy it there , then mail it back to yourself ?

Good idea.
I'm back from the Venice, Italy area but should be going back again in November. BTW, saw a Tdi Tiguan in the parking lot of the company that I was visiting. Got photos of what we may never see here unless VW of America wakes up and smells the coffee.
I still have not heard from anyone as to what is a good buy over there or hard to get here.

do you have any friends in Europe that would be willing to be agents if they got a cut?

Explain you plan and give examples. PM me.

prothe, I had no intention of asking him about that. I was inquiring purely about parts... 8)

Prothe,
If one could pack a container with known good complete 3 and 4 cylinder tdi motors, I'd be willing to bet he could sell every last one of them.
My interest is in smaller parts though, like Fratelli Bosio TDI injector nozzles, KS 1.9 TD pistons, OE 1.7 heads, k14 turbos, injections pumps, PD engine parts including cams and injectors, bigger vnt turbos, etc.
Bringing cars in is a pain, that's no lie, and re origination is almost impossible unless the vehicle is older than 25 years.
