Title: North American Subaru EE20Z Diesel Swap?

Heyo folks

I discovered recently that Subaru makes a diesel boxer engine (EE20Z) for the European markets. Has anyone taken that engine and swapped it into a North American Subaru? ie: Outback, Forrester, Baja, etc!

I would love to learn more!

Try to find that engine in the US of A.  I bet the fed govt. banned it big time.  I would expect the miles per gallon to be better than their already high numbers.  Imagine the torque in low range on that, impressive crawler potential.
