Title: Which VNT can support 150hp to the wheels
Post by: bugnut on October 28, 2008, 05:14:40 pm
I am working on my engine build and would like to add a vnt turbo.  Which one is good for 200 hp at the crank and 25 psi.  I have a super pump from Giles.  I also have a AAZ head for my 1.6 block.  ARP throughout the engine.  And it is going to be intercooled and water/meth injection.  Another question is if a vnt would not work what turbo will fit the bill.   Thanks Brian

GT2052V is a bit small for 200hp, but very good to 150whp. IŽd try GT2252V for 200hp.

While I was looking for the said turbos I ran across some hybrids from kerma.  I was looking at the hammerhead 1852.  That also looks like a viable option.  It also has the exhaust manifold so no adapters needed.
