So I bought my first MK1/diesel. First order of business was to replace the leaking water pump and the timing belt while I am at it. I started to put it back together and came across these two unique parts that I can not remember where they go. Can you help me?

#1 Top, front water pump/plastic cover attachment bolt.
#2 throttle cable holder on driver-side front valve cover stud.
Do I get some sort of prize or just a warm feeling?
-
I say you get a prize. That warm feeling may be a bad thing from lack of bladder control.

And the grand prize is, drum roll please,.............
Two thumbs up. Thank you for playing!

Ya, well, there is a catch with the first part. What do you think THAT is?
(I THOUGHT these briefs were solar powered......imagine my SURPRISE!)

Does it have to be placed in a special slot and turned to lock into place before you slap the pump up to the rest of the engine? So you can't be trying to put it on now if the rest of the bolts and sealer is down?
