ive seen modded quarter mile times, but does anyone know the stock quarter mile time for a turbo diesel, i've seen 21secs on a website, but the same site said 22 for a regular diesel, i have a hard time believing that it's only a 1 second difference, cause it definetly feels like alot more than that.

factory my 86 td jetta with full interior did 18.5
-
i figured it was in the 18 range, i'd like to work my way into the low 15's. then i think i'll be happy with my car, i think after that you have to do real work to get these cars scooting any faster. plus i like the turns better than the straights hehe. but i knew that had to be off.
-
i hope mine will do 15s
-
Stock JR/MF do 18.5-19 seconds from 0-400m according to technical sheets.
-
how about a cy with a k24 in a 2 door mk1 jetta.
-
A litlle less, suposedly
-
awesome.
-
i hope mine will go under 20 seconds

lol i remember i timed my 0-60 with my old engine using the in dash clock, and it was around 20. crazy, i'm glad those days are over, cause now i can get on the highway with out ***ting my pants
-
my 0-60 was about 13 seconds. think i can get that down to 8 or so?
-
i am afraid to run mine at the track. i have a 9 sec ninga (9.94) and a 10.6 sec duster. they will break out the sun dial for my car. though i still bet i would have fun playing spyhunter down the track with the smoke screen.
-
run it, diesels have nothing to prove

on a side note i think im gonna take my jetta autocrossing on saturday, hopefully the quartermile runs will follow soon
