Title: Daihatsu Rocky SWAP to TDI
Post by: KiloBravo82 on August 28, 2019, 09:56:33 pm
I want to slap a 2011 or newer VW TDI into my rocky to increase HP and fuel economy. I am by no means a mechanic, I have only done maintenance when I was younger before every thing went electronic. I am curious if you have any suggestions as to what parts I have to have adaptors for, and which parts I cannot keep...ie I would prefer to utilize the transmission and the transfer case of the Daihatsu if possible. I don't know if the engine can marry up or not.
Any advice would be appreciated.
I am trying to figure out which engines are the most likely to fit in the Rocky, what mods I should do to maximize the HP and fuel economy. What harnesses and computer codes I will need to get a TDI married up without issue.
THANKS IN ADVANCE
