thanks, running 135's on my 81 NA and was thinking of packing some spares.  Might just hook up with the other Oregonians on that.

if you install 155bar injectors in an engine timed for 135 bar injectors, then your timing will be retarded, and you will be down on power..

if you need injectors, just let me know, im ALOT closer, and i actually have injectors that will match your 135 bar injectors..

Why don't you make your own FS thread then instead of leaching off of this one?

i wasnt trying to sell anything.. just letting him know.. not trying to snipe your sales at all. sorry if thats what you felt i was doing. not trying to sell S#!t.. just saying that if he ever needs a spare injector, that its going to be alot easier to come see me, 100 miles away, than it is going to be to source and ship an injector, or a set of injectors from canada..

thats all..

didnt mean to pi$$ in your cheerios..

I was genuinely interested in picking up this set for the price he is asking but was double checking on type before purchasing.  I know R.O.R has offered me parts in the past and he is closer.  Just thought I should ask before moving on.

And yeah it isn't even your thread.  Point taken though.

and i was more just telling you what would happen if you stick TD injectors into a n/a engine.. not trying to sell you anything.. i know if you want to buy something from me, you have my phone number, and you can DEFINITELY operate that phone you got! i know you can, because ive talked to you a few times! lol..

Thanks for a great deal on the pump, I am very fortunate!

It looks like a very clean later style TD pump with the idle advance and all...

Perfect pump for the ECOdiesel I think  :)  Good day today!

Great seller here with some good stuff, the K24 and turbo manifolds you have are still tempting me... Good luck with sale.

Well, since you ask, I wouldn't.   No shaft play means the bearings are coked up from repeatedly shutting it down hot.  Brand new the K24 has noticeable radial play in the full floating bearings.

yes.. journal bearing turbos SHOULD ALWAYS HAVE PLAY. if there is no play, then like andrew mentioned, its all coked to hell.. there has to be play for there to be enough oil clearance for the turbo to live..

my K24 has noticeable radial play, and even a tiny bit of axial play, but it hasnt been on an engine in years, and the light oil i squirted in the center section has probably long evaporated..

so, catlin, does it REALLY have ZERO SHAFT PLAY? or does it have NORMAL shaft play?

if its tight tight, it needs to be cleaned out, and probably rebuilt..

I said that wrong.  They should have noticeable radial play but axial play (thrust) should be virtually imperceptible.  I'll edit my original post.

In-out=bad.  Side to side=good.

after running my K24 today, i felt the clearances again, and the axial (thrust) clearance is tight, undetectable.. there is a TINY bit of radial clearance tho, just as should be..

One of the few times when getting the ol' "in-out" ain't a good thing............

After reading this I ran down to the shop to check on the k03 on my AHU. After 430,000kms there is no.. In and Out play being  pushing the shaft parallel with the ground, and just a bit of up and down play.. the fins towards the compressor housing.
