looking at that page, looking at the other 2 shows i must attend, i think aug 9-11 fri-sun would work best...
do i need to find out deals? reserve things? how many will attend? id hope for 20ish of us.. 1st year and all..
we could kinda do it al'a cart.. tell them we expect to be.. and who ever shows pays up.. or we could try to "commit" to something and try to work a discount...

sorry, it would have to be later or earlier for me. Probably earlier, but then it would be a question of what will I have running by then.

no way sooner.. unless may.. and i dont know what im pullin to have toaster ready for june show as is.. but between june/july show.. nope.. 3 day weekends nice and all.. but every other week for 6 weeks is pushing things for me..
if you have other place/spot/dates post up.. i just know what i can do... this trev's idea.. he in se pa.. this in ne pa.. kinda wanna let him run with it.. but only really had feedback on link above.. no one has ever seemed to get serious..
well if you want serious.. 1st post is place and date.. if not.. lets get it worked out..

Anywhere it would be is relative close for me Erie is about 5 hours from me, te place Chris is posting is about is probably only 2 hours and its directly north of me. The original idea was for early October once show season had wound down and there were less bugs in the air, but anywhere we would camp is going to be in more mountainous areas which tend to be much cooler, I actually love fall camping nothing beats brisk fall air and the colorful leaves but I know something this needs to appeal to the most people possible. I think northwestern pa is definitely the key location but even where Chris has posted is only slightly east of what I'd call ideal plus they sound car and vw friendly

not car per say.. diesel... they got vw and all in diesel.. into waste oil burning.. so on... plus they all loved oops truck.. employees and the owner who owned it...
so that is why.. its not the biggest park for a big show.. aka no way madness sized.. but for 1 or 2 years for show beginning.. hell yea.. i guess the show could be moved out to the old grumman plant if it ever got that big.. 1000s of car parking there.. 10 min from camp ground..
reason #2.. all i have to do is call.. say oops truck.. they know who i am.. that gives me some weasel room to get a price deal..
prob with oct is kids/school.. collage... a fri-sun event where some gotta drive a half day or so.. on top of rain.. id hope we could set up nice fire.. ring of vw lovers sittin round having a good time...
cold.. rain... sorry.. id be more of a wimp.. must be older age.. i rember sleeping front seat with steering wheel in lap.. if i cannot streach out.. motel it is now... why i got kubvan.. i can streach.. but hate cold.. also greg (legless) would skip out due to temps.. he gets sick way too easy.. took him till 3 weeks ago to catch his 1st bug this year.. still woopin him will be a good 3-4 weeks till he close to not sick now...

I'm good for anything in the fall and in PA, as my show schedule runs to about there. Gotta ask a month in advance to get off, though, so if it's decided and has less than a month I'm out.

;D i can do that too.. but hell im more intertaning... mike whats down your way?? this way we can have a we saw mike's aaz and bus in person.. we all know neither will make madness.. :D im sure some piece/part off the aaz build will be lost/missing a week in advance.. and well the bus is unicorn.. heard of it but no one seen it.. bus = more pent house fun... we will get it in the tree... 8)
been 20+ years but they used to have caverns with camp grounds.. va area.. that would be fun...

sat i made a trip to x-boost for turbo for crazymike... to hand off to theman as i was doing his mk4 timming belt/intake sludge job...
there is campground/resort set up 2 min away...
its 30ish from lucas place..
maybe have it there to get him to join?? else up to you guys.. madness close!!! this is like 9-10weeks away..

well its over here in ohio.. :P lucas supposed to get some info thurs on them.. its just i see he wants too.. but he be dadx3 around mid summer.. and his ability to go far from home sux..
the question was for trav and mike if they want to drive this way for him to get info or keep the idea of the original place..

me thinking how tour of turbo place = sweet... but gets lucas 30 min from home.. and others.. but its up to those driving who want to meet up.. plus ohio may be silly overpriced.. so till i know if lucas should waste time for info or not..
the other original planning to attend also plan to be at mk1madness.. which i do not mind.. just kinda hoped to get a few more want to commit and go somewhere.. :D

know what.. since alot of us there for mk1s.. the actual show is sunday... fri/sat is hang out, cruise..
we could have our show on sat down in the swamp area.. where they were settin off 1/4 sticks last year.. down the hill from my spot..
swamp = floods in good rain.. so bad to camp.. but flat enough and unfilled area we can park to have a little vwdiesel.net show :D
think it over.. id say 11am ish.. 3:30ish is cruize to sonic.. past 2 years hit it during drink happy hr.. just a idea.. :D
if it rains they have paved lot up front.... ;)

Looks like it is called the grand barn and its address is actually Glenmont, Ohio even though it is basically right in Greer, Ohio. Holds 150 people and I will check it out some more.

Found one that would accept any kind of shenanigans and not far from me. Flooding is an issue as it is right on the creek and in a low spot. But they let all hours engine revving and whatever go on down there. Cheap too. Walhounding hills is the name. Up in the campground there is a pool and showers too. It is only approx. 20 minutes to the tree house brewery.
