i got a golf mk2 chasis somebody took some time to swap aaz, cutoff downpipe, put on flex hose and used other bits to complete exhaust. i dont think the golf diesel chasis came with turbos and has tiny exhaust pieces. last i experimented with this on a vw truck and egts went crazy high during hill pulls. took all that stuff off and it went down allot so i assume it was restricting.
i want to put an alh in this chasis with a rover pump and assumed i would make a new exhaust but figured why do extra work if not needed and i will measure what i got. i assume if i take the exhaust manifold, etc. off the aaz and slapped it on the alh it would be at a similar location?

2" would be the smallest I'd even consider. 2.5" would be my recommendation...
