After reading some older posts I think the seal may be bad in my AAZ rotary pump. I only can hold 5" vacuum at idle and it does not go up much when I rev up. Oil pressure is low also. What is this seal --an actual oil seal or an O ring. Can some one furnish the size or part number. Am I going to be able to find this at any parts store or special order from someone? Are there rebuild kits for these pumps or just order a new one? I think Parts Place, Inc has them for $250. I have the old diaphragm style for the 1.6 but I don't think they will interchange.

There is a seal at the bottom of the vac-pump that is not an o-ring. It sits in a groove inside the gear and seals against the oil-pump shaft.

I don't know if the seal is the same # as for a 1.6 .
