Hey guys i was goin to put a new head unit in my rabbit because the old one stoped working, and when i went to take the dash apart i found that i cant get the knob off the headlight switch.

So how do you get that little knob off?

look on the switch body, there's a small button you push that releases the knob and it's shaft from the switch. little button, about 4mm in diameter.

Good work done at affordable rates. Welding and fabricating, too.

remove left dash speaker and reach in towards headlight switch you will feel a small button on the left side of the switch push that and pull out knob. you may have to gently push the knob back so that it doesnt lock back in in order to turn off the lights if you didnt unplug the battery.
