will a TDI exhaust manifold bolt up directly to a 1.6TD head. because arent the TDI variable vane turbos integrated into the ex. manifold?

Well I think that the k03 in sequence with a k24/k26hybrid, or straight k26. Sounds about right  :twisted:  I am looking for a holset hy35w with the 9cm housing off a 01' dodge with an auto. For a scavenger for my 1.6TD garrett  :shock: , I think that should probably give me enough turbo to compress a giles pump 8)

There was a post on the old forum on this, very informative - I found it here:

Answer is that yes, looks like the variable-vane turbo would fit on an A1.  Looks like the main trick would be adapting the VNT controller to work on a non-ECU (mechanically controled) motor.
