right now everything in my car is stock but in the next few weeks I plan on getting a giles super pump, upping the boost to around 15psi, intercooler, boost pin mod and playing around with the fueling on my car to make it go nice and fast. If it is recommended what clutches are around that I could use without having to change my flywheel, when I searched most were the ones pp used to sell but they dont anymore.
i highly suggest it, i dunno about the aaz clutches, but the 1.6 clutches are poop when ur making any kind of power.
yea you could get an upgraded one for (im assuming) a 200mm setup
but you have more options if you replace your fw with a 210mm
im havin good luck with my "clutchnet red" setup
its not cheap,i think it was about 350 or so,but ya get what you pay for
i had a centerforce dual friction in my old 1.6td,and it was ok,but its a crappy single strap pressure plate
the clutchnet has dual straps
hillfolk'r, i have a 1Z TDI like you. What exactly did you buy from clutchnet? I'm looking for something good for daily driving, but can handle some extra power. I'm sure the yellow setup will be good.
did you buy the pressure plate, and clutch? or just the clutch???
thanks
For my new AAZ build, I got a 4-puck ceramic disc with a sachs 210mm pressure plate. Change your clutch before the mods. You'll be glad you did.

I got the red pressure plate and the red disc(its carbon/ceramic i think)
they recommended the yellow disc,but i was anticipating huge power
it engages very nicely,and is totally drivable with workboots
hardcore= workboots 'an a 4 puck
:lol: i drive mine every day,and am very happy
wow so I am looking around on clutchnet and an upgraded pressure plate is really expensive, is there another alternative to buying one from them? ive got no problem picking up one of ther yellow clutch discs they arent that bad. im trying to do this cheap since most of my money is going to the pump rebuild :shock:
