anyone have pictures of there custom bigger exhaust on turbo 1.6's or 1.9's.....
how did u make the down pipe? flex pipe or mandrel bend?
how muhc of an improvement did you see after?
no smog here and no problems with the cops and a loud exhaust.... so i'm going to go straight pipe all the way back. loose the cat on my eco (i dont know if it is even there anymore....)
any other sugestions on the exhaust...
the only thing i think that will be hard to bend/ make is the real curvy section over the rear axle.. am i right?

Expert, not really Dr. Diesel  , a novice at most.

I sent you a PM but I didn't answer all your questions.
I made the exhaust using 2.5" 90 degree mandrel bent elbows and 2.5" tubing. These were all .065" wall stainless steel. I cut the elbows into 45 degree bends which I used on nearly all the curves. The pictures I'm going to send you should give you an idea of what the downpipe looks like. The curvy section over the rear axle was somewhat difficult to line up, including the hangers. I didn't get it right though. Between ~1100-1150 rpm the exhaust vibrates enough to hit the body to make an annoying rattle. Other than that it came out pretty good and I picked up about 2 mpg in the process.
