WTB: Mk1 diesel or such @ Houston,Tx area

I am looking for a VW diesel, I live close to Houston, Tx but will drive as far as Dallas if it runs and is decent. If it's a rusted out pos and the engine is good I'm still interested bc I will transplant the engine. I will pay up to $500.00 for a pos and up to $2000.00 for a runner. Want a manual trans.
