WTB: 1.9AAZ(TD) Injection Pump pulley and bracket
« on: January 23, 2005, 12:56:57 pm »
Looking to buy the injection pump pulley off a 1.9 TD AAZ diesel engine, as well as the injection pump bracket.  The part numbers are 028 130 111F for the pulley and 028 130 147J for the bracket.  These were fitted on 1995-1998 Jetta/Golf.  Pulley looks like this(lower right):
.
the bracket is the one that is bolted to the block to mount the pump with this pulley.  Anybody?

i have the earlier 1.9L pump bracket and pulley, the type where you rotate the pump for timing, rather than fiddle the pulley. I don't know for sure, but I expect that you'd be able to convert without any problems.
I repair, maintain and modify VW's and BMW's.
Good work done at affordable rates. Welding and fabricating, too.

I have heard, but have not yet checked, that the old style have a key on the pump shaft, where as the new style don't.  I was also told with the new style, the hub is timed in the factory and should be left where it is.  The reason I am looking for these parts, is I bought a backup pump, with this new style pulley, but it doesn't do me any good unless I can mount it.  I thought I coould just use my old one as well.  Also, the pump housing does not have the slotted mounting holes, so timing would be impossible without the new style pulley.  Thanks anyway.
