1.6 to 1.9 TDI convo

Hello!

I'm new to the forum, but not to VW's, particularly diesels. I own an '89 1.6 (non-turbo :cry: ) and have been looking for ages for someone who has done a 1.9 TDI conversion. In particular, I'm wondering which engine would be the best to swap out?

Also, if there are any sites that I could visit that might hold information, that would be swell.
