Wow those guys get kinda hatey don't they? Factory cams will always have room for improvement due to emissions. Good work Dave!

Yeah for whatever reason most of those people seem to think there is no benefit from improving airflow in a diesel engine, which is really just an air pump...  :o

well people don't realize that manufacturers must make their engines pollute less in order to mass strict emission guidelines... and yes that requires making the engine run like crap AND include an egr device that pretty much just deposits the unburnt carbon soot into the oil to do major damage to the motor.

the fact that egr exists today has to tell you that performance isn't first in their minds.

Yeah those EGRs are a joke, dumping all that carbon back into your intake actually increases your emissions, especially when it clogs your ports and manifold so full of crap you can hardly fit your finger into the manifold...

amen... might as well just put an air filter instead of the EGR and have that as a regular replacement item...  all in favour!!!!

hey wait i just found out that there is a particulate air filter in the works... but will last the entire life of the vehicle? yea right...

so what about camshafts for PD engines?  Are the unit injectors fired by the main camshaft, or is there a seperate camshaft for the unit injectors only???

Main cam has 4 extra lobes so all the other lobes are %30 narrower, decreased cam life for the lose.

Nope, I am installing it whenever Malone receives his upgraded turbo, so until he gets his turbo I don't have any results. Hopefully soon however!
